MALDA DIVISION'S RPF RECOVERED MOBILE PHONES WORTH Rs. 20,00000/-FROM JAMALPUR STATION
RPF of Malda Division works on 24x7 basis tirelessly to protect security of the passengers & Railway property. At the same time, it attaches utmost importance against different types of crimes occurred in the Railway premises.
As part of their regular crime prevention activities, under OPERATION SATARK, on 06.04.2024 a pivotal operation led by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) at JMP Railway Station resulted in the apprehension of an individual suspected of smuggling a large quantity of stolen mobile phones aboard train no. 12368/DN, the Vikramshila Express.
Upon receiving confidential intelligence, SI/J.R. Meena, alongside officers and staff of RPF/Post/JMP, collaborated with ASI/R.S. Yadav of RPF/CIB/Malda, under the supervision of IPF/JMP. As the train arrived at Platform No. 01 at approximately 06:42 hrs, thorough inspections of coach no. S-2 were conducted.
During the meticulous search, suspicious behavior was observed from a passenger occupying berth no. 60. Upon investigation and subsequent questioning, the individual identified himself as Rana Bind, from Munger, Bihar. Upon conducting a thorough searching RPF/JMP recovered 94 nos Android phones worth rs. 20,0000/-
The recovered Mobile phones were seized by the RPF and the detainee was handed over to GRPS/JMP for further legal course of action.
This successful operation underscores the commitment of the RPF to maintain the safety and security of railway passengers and combat illicit activities within the railway network.
