छठ महोत्सव की तैयारियों को प्रदर्शित करने के लिए मालदा डिवीजन ने भागलपुर स्टेशन पर मीडिया गाइडेड टूर का आयोजन किया

छठ पर्व के दौरान यात्रियों की संख्या में बढ़ोतरी की उम्मीद में, पूर्व रेलवे ने भागलपुर स्टेशन पर यात्री सुविधाओं को बढ़ाने और निर्बाध यात्रा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए व्यापक उपाय किए हैं। यात्रियों की जरूरतों को पूरा करने, सुचारू ट्रेन संचालन की सुविधा और पूरी अवधि के दौरान सुरक्षा और संरक्षा बनाए रखने के लिए एक समर्पित दृष्टिकोण अपनाया गया है। इन्हीं तैयारियों के क्रम में आज भागलपुर स्टेशन पर मीडिया टूर का आयोजन किया गया।

यात्रियों की बढ़ी हुई संख्या को समायोजित करने के लिए, भागलपुर स्टेशन ने 724 वर्ग मीटर की कुल जगह को कवर करते हुए तीन होल्डिंग क्षेत्र स्थापित किए हैं, जो 2,000 यात्रियों को समायोजित करने में सक्षम हैं। सहायता प्रदान करने और व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के लिए प्रत्येक होल्डिंग क्षेत्र की निगरानी रेलवे कर्मचारियों के साथ - साथ भारत स्काउट्स और गाइड के दो सदस्यों द्वारा की जा रही है।

सुरक्षा को सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता दी गई है, व्यापक निगरानी के लिए 88 CCTV कैमरे लगाए गए हैं। RPF (रेलवे सुरक्षा बल) और स्टेशन स्टाफ द्वारा संचालित एक नव - स्थापित नियंत्रण कक्ष, यात्री सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के लिए 24 घंटे निगरानी प्रदान करता है। समन्वय को और बढ़ाने के लिए, स्टेशन को छह जोनों में विभाजित किया गया है, प्रत्येक का प्रबंधन RPF और वाणिज्यिक कर्मचारियों द्वारा शिफ्ट में किया जा रहा है। त्योहारी भीड़ के दौरान यात्रियों की आवाजाही को प्रबंधित करने के लिए 62 RPF कर्मियों की एक अतिरिक्त टुकड़ी तैनात की गई है। यात्रियों की सुविधा के लिए, तीन (03) अतिरिक्त स्वचालित टिकट वेंडिंग मशीनें (ATVMs) और दो (02) अतिरिक्त टिकट काउंटर खोले गए हैं।

परिचालन दक्षता को भी प्राथमिकता दी गई है। विशिष्ट प्लेटफार्मों पर सुचारू ट्रेन संचालन सुनिश्चित करने के लिए एक प्लेटफ़ॉर्म मॉनिटरिंग रजिस्टर लागू किया गया है। आज के दौरे के दौरान 03483 भागलपुर–नई दिल्ली छठ विशेष ट्रेन और 12367 भागलपुर–आनंद विहार विक्रमशिला एक्सप्रेस के लिए प्रभावी भीड़ प्रबंधन किया गया, जिसमें RPF और स्टेशन स्टाफ ने यात्रियों के चढ़ाई और सीट व्यवस्था को सुनिश्चित किया।

व्यवस्थाओं की निगरानी श्री एस.के. प्रसाद, अतिरिक्त मंडल प्रबंधक मालदा, वरिष्ठ मंडल वाणिज्यिक प्रबंधक मालदा श्री सुदेब भट्टाचार्य और अन्य अधिकारियों एवं पर्यवेक्षकों द्वारा की गई, जो स्टेशन पर उपस्थित होकर सुविधाओं का मूल्यांकन और निरीक्षण कर रहे थे। मीडिया प्रतिनिधियों ने भी यात्रियों से संवाद किया और व्यवस्थाओं पर प्रतिक्रिया प्राप्त की, जिसमें कई यात्रियों ने इस त्योहार अवधि के दौरान प्रदान की गई सुविधाओं पर संतोष व्यक्त किया।

दिवाली के जश्न में अपने पसंदीदा व्यंजनों का आनंद लेने के बाद, कलाकारों के लिए फिर से अपने हेल्दी रूटीन में लौटने का समय आ गया है। एण्डटीवी के कलाकार भी इससे अछूते नहीं हैं। उन्होंने अपने पोस्ट-फेस्टिव हेल्दी रूटीन के बारे में बताया, जो उन्हें अपने स्वास्थ्य को फिर से संतुलित करने में मदद कर रहे हैं। इन कलाकारों में शामिल हैं- नेहा जोशी (‘अटल’ की कृष्णा देवी वाजपेयी), स्मिता सेबल (‘भीमा’ की धनिया), गीतांजलि मिश्रा (‘हप्पू की उलटन पलटन’ की राजेश) और रोहिताश्व गौड़ (‘भाबीजी घर पर हैं’ के मनमोहन तिवारी। अटल की कृष्णा देवी वाजपेयी, ऊर्फ नेहा जोशी ने बताया, ‘‘दिवाली का त्यौहार खत्म होते ही मैं एक दुविधा में पड़ जाती हूं कि चकली, चिवड़ा और लड्डू जैसी स्वादिष्ट चीजों के बिना दिवाली के बाद का मजा कैसे लिया जाए! मुझे लगता है कि यह चीजें किचन से मुझे पुकार रही हैं, लेकिन मेरे लिये तो यह फिर से अपने फिटनेस रुटीन में लौटने का वक्त है (हंसती हैं)। तरह-तरह की मिठाइयों और स्नैक्स पर टूट पड़ने के बाद, अब मैं क्रिस्पी चकली और ललचाने वाला चिवड़ा छोड़कर कुछ सेहतमंद चीजें खाने के मिशन पर हूं। इसलिये अब चकली के बजाए, मैं कैरॅट स्टिक और सलाद ढूंढ रही हूं। ये चीजें मुझे स्नैक खाने के बाद होने वाली गिल्ट से बचाती हैं। साथ ही मेरी माॅर्निंग स्मूदी को भी मत भूलिये, जो दिवाली के बाद एक छोटी सी सेहतमंद औषधी की तरह है।’’ ‘भीमा‘ की धनिया, ऊर्फ स्मिता सेबल ने बताया, ‘‘अब चूंकि दिवाली की आखिरी मिठाइयाँ भी यादों में रह गई हैं और चकली का डिब्बा धीरे-धीरे खत्म हो गया है, इसलिये मुझे गंभीर होकर अपने फिटनेस रुटीन में वापस लौटना चाहिये। सच कहूं, तो त्यौहार के सीजन में कोई वर्कआउट नहीं हुआ है, जैसा कि हर बार मेरे रिजाॅल्यूशन के साथ भी होता है! सबसे पहले तो मैं थोड़ा जल्दी वाला अलार्म सेट कर रही हूं, क्योंकि मेरा काउच काफी आरामदायक है। मैं अपनी सुबह के बेसन के लड्डू को एक प्री-वर्कआउट रूटीन में बदल रही हूं, जिसमें एक कप स्ट्राॅन्ग काॅफी और थोड़ा सा मोटिवेशन शामिल है। कार्डियो भी मेरी रूटीन में लौट आया है और मैं खूब पसीना बहा रही हूं। ऐसा लग रहा है कि मैं खुद के साथ ही कोई मुकाबला कर रही हूं, जहां मुझे मिठाई का एक और टुकड़ा खाना बड़ा अच्छा लगता था (हंसती हैं)। अब वर्कआउट को लेकर गंभीर होने का समय आ गया है, लेकिन मैं खुश होकर यह कर रही हूं। मैं लंच में भारी करीज़ की जगह सादी दाल और ब्राउन राइस या क्विनोआ जैसे हल्के आॅप्शन्स को शामिल कर रही हूं। दाल और चावल से मेरी भूख को लंबे समय तक शांत रखते हैं और मुझे भरपूर मात्रा में पोषकतत्व भी मिल जाते हैं। मेरी थाली में कई सारी सब्जियाँ होती हैं, जैसे कि पालक, भिंडी और गाजर, जिन्हें कम से कम तेल और मसालों के साथ पकाया जाता है। इस तरह मेरी थाली में स्वाद और सेहत, दोनों मौजूद हैं।’’

‘हप्पू की उलटन पलटन‘ में राजेश की भूमिका निभा रहीं गीतांजलि मिश्रा ने बताया, ‘‘दिवाली का त्यौहार जाते ही उस खुशी और खान-पान को याद करना महत्वपूर्ण होता है, जो यह खूबसूरत उत्सव अपने साथ लेकर आता है। भारी मिठाइयों और ललचाने वाले स्नैक्स का सीजन जाने के बाद मैं एक नई शुरूआत कर रही हूं। फिटनेस के लिये मेरी वापसी का पहला कदम है अपने हाइड्रेशन पर ध्यान देना। मैं खुद से पूरे दिन खूब सारा पानी पीने का वादा कर रही हूं। इसमें सुबह की शुरूआत गर्म नींबू पानी के एक गिलास से होती है, जो मेरे शरीर को डिटाॅक्सीफाई करने और मेरा मेटाबोलिज्म बढ़ाने में मदद करता है। मेरा खाना फिर से हल्का-फुल्का और पोषण से भरपूर हो गया है। आमतौर पर मेरे नाश्ते में हरी सब्जियां, फल और प्रोटीन से भरी एक स्मूदी होती है, जिससे मेरे दिन की शुरूआत सकारात्मक रहती है। लंच में मुझे प्रोटीन और खूब सारी सब्जियों से भरा सलाद खाना अच्छा लगता है। नियमित कसरत करने से जो ऊर्जा और ताकत मिलती है, वह मेरे लिये अभी खो गई है! अपना लचीलापन वापस लाने के लिये मैं योग और स्ट्रेचिंग करती हूं और फिर सहनशक्ति को बढ़ाने के लिये कार्डियो वर्कआउट करती हूं। मैं थोड़ी स्ट्रेन्थ ट्रेनिंग करने के लिये भी रोमांचित हूं। मेरा ध्यान मसल्स बनाने और पूरी सेहत को बेहतर बनाने पर है।’’ ‘भाबीजी घर पर हैं‘ के मनमोहन तिवारी, ऊर्फ रोहिताश्व गौड़ ने कहा, ‘‘दिवाली के त्यौहार में जमकर खाने-पीने के बाद मैं हमेशा संतुलित आहार और सेहत वाली आदतों को अपनाकर पहले जैसा हो जाता हूं। दिवाली के सीजन में खाने के लिये मिलने वाली चीजें बहुत ललचाती हैं और मुझे बिना किसी गिल्ट के उनका मजा लेना अच्छ लगता है। हालांकि, बाद में अपने शरीर और दिमाग को नई ताजगी देने के लिये मैं फिर से हल्की-फुल्की और पौष्टिक डाइट पर लौट आता हूं और सोच-समझकर खाता-पीता हूं। सबसे पहले तो मैं पानी की मात्रा बढ़ाकर डीटाॅक्स पर ध्यान देता हूं और इसके लिये ग्रीन ज्यूस तथा हर्बल टी लेता हूं। इससे टाॅक्सिन्स को बाहर निकालने और हाइड्रेशन लेवल को रिस्टोर करने में मदद मिलती है। यह त्यौहार की मिठाइयों और स्नैक्स के बाद जरूरी होता है। मैं हल्के और घर के बने खाने को भी अपनाता हूं, जिसमें कई सारी ताजी सब्जियाँ, प्रोटीन और होल ग्रेन होते हैं, जो शरीर को पोषण देते हैं। दिवाली के बाद वाले रुटीन में कसरत भी जरूरी है। मैं धीरे-धीरे अपने वर्कआउट रेजिम में आ जाता हूं। चूंकि, मैं त्यौहार के हर पल का पूरा मजा लेता हूं, इसलिये त्यौहार के ठीक बाद अपनी सेहत के गोल्स का भी पूरी तरह पालन करता हूं। दिवाली एक सुंदर उत्सव है, जिसे प्रियजनों के साथ मनाया जाता है और उसके बाद अपने शरीर पर ध्यान देना तथा फिर से बढ़िया महसूस करना भी महत्वपूर्ण होता है।’’

Vigilance Awareness Week, marking its 25th year, is a pivotal initiative aimed at promoting a culture of transparency and integrity across all sectors, particularly in public services. This year’s theme, “Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity,” highlights the critical role of ethical values in strengthening public trust and establishing a corruption-free society.

As a part of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, Eastern Railway and Metro Railway jointly organized today (6.11.2024) a seminar at Belvedere Park Railway Officers' Club, Kolkata. The event saw a distinguished gathering of officials and guest speakers focused on the significance of vigilance in public service. The program commenced with a ceremonial candle lighting led by Swami Divyananda Ji, Adhyaksha of Udyanbati, Cossipore & Vice President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, accompanied by General Manager of Eastern Railway, Shri Milind Deouskar and General Manager of Metro Railway, Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy. The event also featured presence of Additional General Manager (AGM) of Eastern Railway, Shri Sumit Sarkar.

In his welcome address, Shri Anand Bhatia, Senior Deputy General Manager (SDGM)/Eastern Railway & Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) of Metro Railway emphasized vigilance as a core component of integrity and accountability. 

The seminar included compelling talks by guest speakers:

Swami Divyananda Ji discussed virtues such as self-respect, self-sacrifice, and self-confidence as essential foundations of a corruption-free society. He extended festive greetings for Laxmi Puja and Diwali.

Prof. Vimal Kumar from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Kolkata, focused on the importance of transparency and ethics in organizational frameworks.

Dr. Debabrata Das, Associate Professor of English at Rabindra Bharati University, addressed vigilance as an essential mechanism to cultivate trust within society.

In his remarks, Shri Milind Deouskar, General Manager of Eastern Railway, highlighted that a proactive approach to vigilance includes knowing and adhering to rules, following the correct procedures, and embracing digitalization for bringing more transparency in working procedure. He also underscored the importance of CCTV proliferation as a preventive measure to ensure transparency and curb misconduct.

General Manager of Metro Railway, Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, echoed these sentiments, stressing the importance of digitalization and anti-corruption initiatives as essential steps toward a transparent and accountable public service. An interactive session allowed participants to exchange ideas on best practices for vigilance.

To mark the occasion, Eastern Railway and Metro Railway released their vigilance bulletins, "JAGRITI" and "PRAYAS," respectively in presence of Shri Milind Deouskar General Manager, Eastern Railway and Shri P. Uday Kumar Reddy, General Manager, Metro Railway. This initiative of Eastern Railway and Metro Railway symbolises their dedication to raising awareness and reinforcing accountability across the organization. 

The program concluded with the National Anthem, reflecting a unified commitment to integrity. Vigilance Awareness Week serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to foster an environment of honesty and transparency, essential for the prosperity and advancement of the nation.

आसिफ शेख ने चालीस साल के अपने शानदार कॅरियर में अस्सी से ज्यादा फिल्मों में काम करके स्क्रीन पर अपना जलवा बिखेरा है। और उनके हर किरदार ने अपनी एक अलग छाप छोड़ी है। एण्डटीवी के शो ‘भाबीजी घर पर हैं‘ में उन्होंने विभूति नारायण मिश्रा का जो चित्रण किया है, उसे दर्शकों ने काफी सराहा है। खासकर विभूति की सिग्नैचर लाइन ‘आई एम साॅरी’ ने दर्शकों का दिल जीता है। उनके कॅरियर की एक और यादगार लाइन है ‘‘व्हाट अ जोक’’, जो शाहरूख खान और सलमान खान की मुख्य भूमिकाओं वाली फिल्म करण अर्जुन में उनके किरदार सूरज सिंह ने कही थी। यह लाइन भी अब तक प्रशंसकों के मन में बसी है। उस फिल्म में सूरज सिंह का किरदार निभाने का अनुभव याद करते हुए, आसिफ ने पर्दे के पीछे की एक दिलचस्प जानकारी दी है। उन्होंने बताया, ‘‘जब करण अर्जुन के निर्देशक राकेश रोशन ने पहली बार मुझे इस भूमिका के बारे में बताया, तब उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा था कि ‘व्हाट अ जोक’ सिर्फ एक लाइन नहीं, बल्कि सूरज के चरित्र का सार है। उन्हें हर बात पर सूरज का रिएक्शन चाहिये था, ताकि उसके किरदार को अप्रत्याशित और सबसे जुड़ाव बनाने वाला एक ट्विस्ट मिले। पहले दिन से ही मैंने हर सीन में ‘व्हाट अ जोक’ को शामिल किया और अलग-अलग टोन के साथ प्रयोग करते हुए उसे मजेदार और ऐसा बनाया, जिसका अनुमान कोई पहले से नहीं लगा सकता था। फिल्म के निर्देशक की यही सोच थी।’’

आसिफ ने यह रोचक तथ्य भी बताया कि उस किरदार के लिये वह पहली पसंद नहीं थे, ‘‘शुरूआत में गुलशन ग्रोवर को सूरज सिंह की भूमिका में लिया गया था। उनके साथ कुछ सीन भी हुये थे और उन्होंने यह मशहूर लाइन कई बार कही थी। लेकिन मुझे अभी तक पूरी तरह से पता नहीं है कि वह भूमिका मुझे किन कारणों से मिली। वह किस्मत का मोड़ था या मेरी जिद कि मैंने ‘व्हाट अ जोक’ को बाॅलीवुड के इतिहास का एक यादगार हिस्सा बना दिया। और इस पर मुझे बड़ा गर्व है।’’

Successful Inauguration of Digital Life Certificate Campaign 3.0 for Pensioners in Malda Division

A nationwide campaign for government pensioners titled "Digital Life Certificate Campaign 3.0" was officially inaugurated in the Malda Division by DRM/Malda Shri Manish Kumar Gupta. This initiative, organized by the Accounts Department of Malda, aimed to facilitate digital verification for pensioners.

During the event, the Digital Life Certificate (DLC) verification process was demonstrated to benefit all attendees. Basic training was provided to help pensioners self-verify their accounts. The meeting room was filled with participation from ADRM/MLDT Shri Sheo Kumar Prasad and all Branch Officers.

Pensioners present received hands-on training, and Welfare Inspectors were also educated to assist pensioners within their respective jurisdictions.

Pensioners were informed that they could contact local postal offices and bank branches for assistance with DLC verification. Additionally, the Pension Section of the Accounts Department has established a special cell to address any queries or provide clarifications needed by all concerned.

आज बड़हरवा स्टेशन पर केंद्र सरकार के विशेष अभियान 4.0 के अंतर्गत "स्वच्छता ही संस्कार" विषय पर 'रेल चौपाल' का सफल आयोजन किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में स्टेशन प्रबंधक, रेलवे कर्मचारी, और सफाई कर्मियों ने मिलकर यात्रियों को स्वच्छता के महत्व से अवगत कराया।

रेल चौपाल का उद्देश्य यात्रियों को स्वच्छता, स्वास्थ्य, और सुरक्षा के प्रति जागरूक करना था। कार्यक्रम के दौरान यात्रियों ने अपने अनुभव साझा किए और स्वच्छता को बढ़ावा देने के लिए सुझाव दिए, जिससे संवाद का एक सकारात्मक माहौल बना। यात्रियों ने यह सुझाव दिया कि स्टेशन परिसर और ट्रेनों में स्वच्छता सुनिश्चित करने के लिए नियमित सफाई कार्य और जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाएं।

मालदा मंडल के अधिकारियों ने स्पष्ट किया कि यह कार्यक्रम भविष्य में भी आयोजित किया जाएगा, ताकि स्वच्छता को एक सांस्कृतिक मूल्य के रूप में विकसित किया जा सके। सभी कर्मचारियों और यात्रियों को स्वच्छता को अपनी जिम्मेदारी समझने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया है।

इसके साथ ही मालदा मंडल के अंतर्गत कहलगाँव, नाथनगर, और बांका स्टेशन पर विशेष अभियान 4.0 के तहत सफाई कार्य को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है। रेलवे प्रशासन ने कर्मचारियों को निर्देशित किया है कि वे यात्रियों के साथ सक्रिय संवाद स्थापित करें। रेलवे का लक्ष्य है कि हर यात्री एक स्वच्छ और सुरक्षित वातावरण में यात्रा करे, और सभी मिलकर स्वच्छता को अपनी प्राथमिकता बनाएं।

रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव और स्विस रेल के प्रमुख अल्बर्ट रोएस्टि ने किया समझौता पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर

नई दिल्ली: भारत और स्विट्जरलैंड के बीच रेल क्षेत्र में तकनीकी सहयोग को बढ़ावा देने हेतु आपसी सहमति हुई है। वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से आयोजित कार्यक्रम में भारत के रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव और स्विस रेल के प्रमुख अल्बर्ट रोएस्टि ने किया समझौता पत्र पर हस्ताक्षर किया ।

कार्यक्रम में सबसे पहले स्विट्ज़रलैंड में भारत के राजदूत मृदुल कुमार ने फेडरल काउंसलर और DETEC के प्रमुख अल्बर्ट रोएस्टि को एक शॉल भेंट कर स्वागत किया।

कार्यक्रम में अल्बर्ट रोएस्टि ने अपने संबोधन में भारत और स्विट्ज़रलैंड के बीच रेलवे के क्षेत्र में सहयोग के महत्व पर जोर दिया तथा इस बात को स्पष्ट किया कि स्विट्ज़रलैंड की उन्नत रेलवे तकनीक भारत में रेलवे के विकास में हर प्रकार से मददगार सिद्ध हो सकती हैं। भारत के रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव ने कार्यक्रम में विचार साझा करते हुए कहा कि पूरे देश में सुरक्षित एवं तीव्र गति का रेल परिचालन भारत सरकार की प्राथमिकताओं में शामिल है। रेलवे के समग्र विकास के प्रति भारत सरकार की प्रतिबद्धता को स्पष्ट करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि पिछले कुछ सालों में रेलवे के क्षेत्र में तकनीकी उन्नयन और संरक्षण हेतु अथक प्रयास किए गए हैं।उन्होंने कहा कि भारतीय रेल और स्विट्जरलैंड की रेल के बीच आपसी सहयोग हेतु समझौता पत्र हस्ताक्षर हो जाने से तकनीकी, पटरियों के रख-रखाव, प्रबंधन और निर्माण के क्षेत्र में दोनों देशों को लाभ होगा और एक दूसरे की विशेषताओं और विशेषज्ञाताओं से दोनों देश लाभान्वित होंगे। स्विट्जरलैंड के तकनीकी सहयोग से टर्न आउट और दूसरे तकनीकी मामलों में भारतीय रेल की दक्षता में और वृद्धि होगी।

समझौता पत्र के माध्यम से दोनों देशों के बीच ट्रैक्शन रोलिंग स्टॉक, ईएमयू और ट्रेन सेट,ट्रैक्शन प्रोपल्शन उपकरण,माल और यात्री गाड़ियां,टिल्टिंग ट्रेनें, रेलवे विद्युतीकरण उपकरण,ट्रेन शेड्यूलिंग और संचालन सुधार, रेलवे स्टेशन आधुनिकीकरण, मल्टीमॉडल परिवहन और टनलिंग तकनीक के मामले में एक दूसरे को सहयोग प्राप्त होगा।

कार्यक्रम के दौरान सहमति बनी कि भारत और स्विट्ज़रलैंड के बीच रेल क्षेत्र में तकनीकी सहयोग को अधिक मजबूती प्रदान की जाए। यह समझौता पत्र रेलवे प्रणाली में नवीनतम तकनीकों के समावेश के लिए एक मजबूत आधार प्रदान करेगा।

यह समझौता दोनों देशों के बीच हस्ताक्षरित पहले समझौते की निरंतरता है, जो रेल क्षेत्र में दोनों देशों के बीच तकनीकी विकास और नवाचार के लिए किया गया था। आज के इस समारोह के माध्यम से, दोनों देशों ने अपने मजबूत सहयोग को आगे बढ़ाने का संकल्प लिया।

The Vigilance Awareness Week 2024 was observed today at the DRM Office, Malda with great enthusiasm and a commitment to uphold integrity. Sri Manish Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Malda, marked the beginning of the observance by lighting the ceremonial lamp. He also administered the Integrity Pledge to the officers and staff, emphasizing the importance of ethical conduct and transparency in every aspect of work.

As a part of event , DRM/Malda paid floral tributes to the portrait of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, honoring the legacy of the Iron Man of India. His contributions to nation-building serve as a source of inspiration for the values of integrity and dedication. Shri Sheo Kumar Prasad, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM), along with other branch officers of Malda Division, were present at the occasion and also offered their respects to Sardar Patel’s portrait.

The theme for this year's Vigilance Awareness Week is "Culture of Integrity for Nation’s Prosperity," highlighting the crucial role of integrity in the nation’s progress. The Integrity Pledge aims to inspire all to maintain probity and the rule of law in their daily lives, to refrain from offering or accepting bribes, to conduct all tasks honestly and transparently, to act in the public interest, and to set an example of integrity in personal conduct. 

The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week aims to foster transparency, accountability, and integrity, promoting a corruption-free environment. The week-long activities intend to raise awareness among railway employees, encouraging their active participation in the fight against corruption.

 As a part of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week, various events like Seminar, Nukkad Natak Cultural programme,Walkathon, Quiz Competition, Essay/Poster making/Slogan writing Competition etc. will be organised over Malda Division.

Under the guidance of Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Malda Division, Sri Manish Kumar Gupta, rigorous ticket checking drives are being conducted across the division. 

Today a fortress ticket-checking drive was carried out today at Bhagalpur Railway station under the direction of the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Sri Sudeb Bhattacharya. 

 

The drive was led by Sri Praveen Kumar/Area Officer/Bhagalpur alongwith active participation of Commercial Inspector/Bhagalpur, Sri Phool Kumar Sharma, Ticket Checking Staff and RPFs . 

As part of the drive, public announcements were made at nearby stations to inform passengers about the ongoing ticket-checking operations.

During the intensive fortress check at BGP today, a total of 188 penalty cases were done and an amount of Rs. 54,655/- were realised as fine.

The drive resulted in a significant number of passengers being checked for valid tickets, with increased vigilance and enforcement. The initiative also led to a noticeable surge in ticket sales, both at booking counters and through the UTS mobile app.   

Passengers were also reminded of the importance of purchasing valid tickets for their journeys, with a clear message that strict action will be taken against defaulters.

Such fortress ticket-checking drives will continue in the future to ensure fair and safe travel for all passengers.

The milk stall awarded to GCMMF (Siddiqui Caterers) at PF 04/05 of Malda Town Station has been closed immediately. This decisive action follows the discovery of 16 expired Parle Marie biscuits during an inspection on 19.10.2024, which had an expiry date of 23.10.2023 (almost one year back)

Laxman Paul (stall on duty staff) was present at the time of the seizure conducted by Sri Abinash Kumar, CMI/Malda, and Sri Somesh Dutta, Chief Parcel Supervisor/Parcel/Malda.

Railway administration will not tolerate any laxity in adhering to health and safety regulations.  

All vendors were warned to regularly check the expiry dates of their products and maintain high-quality standards. 

Consumer safety is Railways' top priority, and it will ensure that all vendors respect this commitment.

Malda Division of Eastern Railway organized a media tour today to provide updates on the ongoing upgradation of passenger amenities at Sultanganj and Sabour Railway Stations under the “Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.” The initiative aims to elevate the travel experience for passengers and improve station infrastructure, contributing to the overall development of the region.

During the event at Sultanganj Railway Station, the Assistant Engineer/Jamalpur provided detailed briefings on the progress of the modernization efforts. He highlighted the achievements of both completed and ongoing projects, focusing on improvements that enhance passenger convenience and safety. The media tour included a walkthrough of Sultanganj Station, where various aspects of the upgradation work were showcased to the media representatives.

Sultanganj Station, situated along the banks of the Ganges River in Bhagalpur district, holds great significance for pilgrims, especially during the month of Shravan, due to the ancient Shiva temple nearby. The station’s redevelopment aims to integrate local heritage with modern amenities.The station’s façade design draws inspiration from the ancient Shiva temple, and local art themes are reflected in the interior paintings. Major elements of the redevelopment include a grand portico, a 12-meter roof plaza, a spacious concourse area, separate blocks for arrivals and departures, pedestrian pathways, and striking sculptures, all designed to offer a seamless and enjoyable experience for passengers. Additionally, aesthetic façade lighting and large video walls are being installed to create a visually engaging environment. The station is designed to be fully accessible for differently-abled passengers, ensuring a Divyangjan-friendly infrastructure.

*Redevelopment Progress at Sultanganj Station:* 

The redevelopment of Sultanganj Station is being carried out in two phases:

• Phase 1: This phase, with a sanctioned cost of approximately Rs. 24.22 crore, focuses on civil, electrical, and signal & telecommunication (S&T) works. Key components include the development of the façade, circulating area, waiting halls and lounges, Divyangjan facilities, concourse area, assembly building, and arrival block. The architectural design merges modern aesthetics with inspirations from local art and historical landmarks. Current progress stands at about 80% physically and 65% financially.

Similar modernization efforts are underway at *Sabour Railway Station.* The Assistant Engineer (AEN)/Gati Shakti Unit provided updates during the media tour, focusing on completed and ongoing projects that enhance passenger safety and convenience.

With a sanctioned cost of approximately Rs. 19 crore, the Sabour Station upgrades include separate blocks for arrivals and departures, high-quality interior finishes, and a 12-meter roof plaza. The station’s design emphasizes aesthetics with advanced façade lighting and large video walls to create a welcoming atmosphere. The station is designed to be fully accessible for differently-abled passengers, ensuring a Divyangjan-friendly infrastructure.

*Redevelopment Progress at Sabour Station:*

The redevelopment of Sabour Station is also being conducted in two phases:

*• Phase 1:* This phase covers civil, electrical, and S&T works, including the construction of a 12-meter foot-over bridge (FOB)/roof plaza. Key elements include the development of the façade, circulating area, waiting halls and lounges, Divyangjan facilities, concourse area, and a central command office. The architectural design is a blend of modern elements with local art influences. Current progress for Phase 1 stands at about 65% physically and 60% financially, with major facilities in the finishing stages. The soft upgrade work is expected to be completed by December 2024.

The media tour provided an insightful overview of the Malda Division’s commitment to enhancing railway infrastructure and improving passenger experience through the “Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.”
