Sr. DCM/Malda Conducts Intensive Ticket Checking Drive over Munger Station & Jamalpur–Kiul Section

Malda Division of Eastern Railway continues its sustained efforts to promote disciplined and ticket-compliant travel across its jurisdiction under the guidance of *Divisional Railway Manager, Malda, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta.*
*Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Malda, Shri Kartik Singh,* today (07.12.2025) conducted an intensive ticket-checking drive over the *Munger Station & Jamalpur–Kiul section, including Train No. 73462 Jamalpur – Maheshkhunt DEMU.* Strict action was taken against passengers travelling without valid tickets, as ticketless travel is a punishable offence under the Railways Act.
*During the checking, a total of 96 cases of ticketless travel and irregularities were detected, and ₹35,195 was realized as penalties.*
The drive was carried out with the support of Commercial Inspectors and Ticket Checking Staff of Malda Division. RPF personnel were also present during the operation to assist in maintaining discipline and ensuring smooth execution of the checking activities.
