SPECIAL MAGISTRATE TICKET CHECKING DRIVE AT BHAGALPUR STATION

Under the guidance of *Divisional Railway Manager (DRM),Malda, Sri Manish Kumar Gupta*, a series of rigorous ticket checking drives are being conducted across the division.In this line a Special Magistrate Ticket Checking drive was conducted today on January 21, 2024, from 08:00 hrs to 16:00 hrs at Bhagalpur station under the direction of *Senior Divisional Commercial Manager(Sr.DCM)/Malda Miss Anjan*. The intensive ticket Checking drive was led by the *Railway Magistrate Smt. Rinki kumari* along with *Area Officer/Bhagalpur Shri Praveen Kumar* and was supported by a well-coordinated team comprising Commercial Inspector(CMI)/Bhagalpur Shri Phool Kumar Sharma,ticket-checking staff, and Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel.This initiative highlights the division's unwavering commitment to promoting responsible travel and enhancing passenger convenience.
The objective of the drive was to ensure adherence to railway rules, discourage ticketless travel, and promote a culture of accountability among passengers. During the Eight-hour operation, A total of *319 cases* were identified, generating a significant revenue of *₹1,87,510* for the division. The successful execution of this drive also resulted in an increase in counter ticket sales at Bhagalpur station, reflecting a positive impact on revenue generation.
This initiative underscores Malda Division’s commitment to ensuring smooth and lawful travel for passengers while deterring malpractices. Such special drives will be conducted periodically to enhance passenger experience and bolster revenue, contributing to the overall efficiency of the Indian Railways.
