Encroachment Removal Drive Conducted in Bhagalpur-Tikani Section of Malda Division

A demolition and eviction drive was successfully conducted on December 1, 2024, in the Bhagalpur-Tikani section of Malda Division to remove illegal encroachments from railway land.
During this joint operation, a total of 56 unauthorized soft structures (huts) and 44 cattle sheds (khatals) were removed. The drive aimed to free valuable railway land from illegal occupation, paving the way for future development and improved passenger safety.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of the Senior Section Engineer (Works), Bhagalpur; RPF In-Charge, Bhagalpur; and staff from various departments. The eviction process was conducted smoothly and peacefully, with no incidents of violence or unrest reported.
Malda Division urges the public to refrain from unauthorized occupation of railway land and to cooperate with the railway administration in its efforts to enhance infrastructure and services.
