Malda Division Organizes Safety Seminar at Sabour Railway Station OHE cum PSI Depot (TRD)

In a significant move to strengthen operational safety, Malda Division of Eastern Railway today organized a Technical and Safety Seminar at the Overhead Equipment (OHE) cum Power Supply Installation (PSI) Depot, Sabour. The seminar focused on ensuring safe working practices under 25kV OHE and 132/25kV Traction Substation conditions, as well as enhancing technical knowledge for the maintenance of power supply installations in the region.
Shri Santosh Kumar, Assistant Electrical Engineer/Traction Distribution (TRD), Jamalpur, along with other supervisors, led the seminar. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from the staff, who engaged in detailed discussions and hands-on sessions aimed at improving their expertise in asset maintenance and troubleshooting.
The primary objective of the seminar was to ensure uninterrupted power supply for smooth train operations. Emphasis was placed on adopting best practices as per AC Traction Manual (ACTM) of Railway Board guidelines and implementing advanced safety protocols while working with high-voltage equipment.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Santosh Kumar highlighted the importance of such initiatives in fostering a culture of safety and technical excellence. He encouraged the participants to apply the knowledge gained from the seminar to their daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of safety and reliability.
This seminar is part of Malda Division’s continuous efforts to enhance the efficiency and safety of railway operations, contributing to the overall improvement of passenger services.
