EASTERN RAILWAY’S COMMITMENT TO EXCELLENCE IN PASSENGER AMENITIES AND FACILITIES AT BHAGALPUR STATION

Eastern Railway reaffirms its dedication to providing top-notch passenger amenities and facilities at Bhagalpur Railway Station, a key hub in the Malda Division. Recognizing the importance of Bhagalpur as a significant station, Eastern Railway remains committed to ensuring the highest standards of service and passenger satisfaction.

 However some news media trying to mailne the image of Railways without knowing about the initiatives taken to overcome any momentary shortfall.

• There are 4nos. Escalator in Bhagalpur, out of which, 2nos. in circulating area and 2nos. available at Platform No.1. Only one Escalator of circulating area is defective, since last few days due to Electronic brake defective, which is a safety device. Remaining all Lift and Escalators are working properly.

This escalator is under maintenance contract, firm representative has been informed for attention of the same. Material is under dispatch, and will arrive on 22.08.24 along with firm Engineer to rectify the same.

Basic facilities for passengers are always taken care of at Bhagalpur station. However, sometimes some machines equipment such as lift, escalator etc. face technical problems, which are resolved immediately, sometime it takes time to rectify the defective machines, due to not availability of machine parts at site. 

Currently, passengers are facing some inconvenience due to temporary closure of an Escalator. Soon it will be made operational for passengers again.

• At Bhagalpur FOB Multi Line TIB (Train Indication Board) and LED clock both were checked yesterday and found working. It was not failed.

• Toilet and urinal at Platforms are being regularly cleaned and water supply fitting repaired.

• At Platform no 6, RPF is deputed to control the misuse of ladies toilet.

Eastern Railway strives to address any issues related to passenger amenities promptly. Any defects or shortfalls that arise are immediately identified and rectified to meet the needs of the passengers effectively.
