DIVISIONAL RAILWAY MANAGER/MALDA CONDUCTS INSPECTION AT BHAGALPUR – BANKA – GODDA SECTION OF MALDA DIVISION

Today, Shri Manish Kumar Gupta, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Malda Division, Eastern Railway, accompanied by other branch officers conducted an extensive inspection of the Bhagalpur-Banka-Godda section to evaluate safety standards and assess the current status of passenger amenities. The inspection aimed to devise a strategic plan for further development of facilities and safety enhancements across the section as well as to monitor the ongoing redevelopment works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.

The inspection began early in the morning with a window trailing inspection between Bhagalpur and Banka. Upon arrival at Banka, DRM/Malda along with Branch officers carried out a detailed review of the station building, passenger amenities, coaching facilities, and safety aspects. He closely examined the ongoing work progress for the new Amrit Bharat Station building, assessing the advancement of various development projects at the station.

 DRM/Malda continued his inspection at Godda station, where he scrutinized the redevelopment initiatives, circulating areas, and various factors related to passenger safety, security, and comfort. During his inspection, he interacted with officials from various departments, underscoring the significance of expediting projects under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme and providing necessary instructions to ensure timely completion.

Following the inspection at Godda station, DRM/Malda conducted a window trailing inspection of the Godda-Bhagalpur section, closely monitoring the operational aspects of the railway line to ensure the highest safety standards are maintained. At Poreyahat station, he inspected the panel room and other safety-related facilities to assess their functionality and effectiveness.

Throughout the inspection, DRM/Malda emphasized the importance of maintaining high safety standards and improving passenger amenities across the Malda Division.
