FORTRESS TICKET CHECKING DRIVE AT JAMALPUR RAILWAY STATION

As part of Mission "SUDHAAR" (Service Up-gradation, Decongestion & Holistic Action for Amenities Restoration) under the supervision of DRM/MLDT Sri Vikas Chaube, regular ticket checking drives are being conducted over the Malda division.
Under the guidance of Sr.DCM Malda Sri Sudeb Bhattacharya, a special fortress ticket checking drive was conducted at Jamalpur station on 14.05.2024 to ensure fair compliance and passenger safety. The drive was led by Sri Sachin Kumar, Area Manager/BGP along with Commercial Inspectors, TTEs, and RPF personnel.
Today total 260 penalty cases were done by Ticket checking squad at Jamalpur and an amount of Rs 1,00,000/- approx has been realised as fine.
The purpose of these surprise checking programs is to curb ticketless traveling and encourage passengers to purchase valid tickets before boarding any train. Such ticket checking drives will continue in the future as well.
