MALDA DIVISION REPLACES CENTURY-OLD STEEL BRIDGE In RECORD TIME

As part of its continuous endeavor for infrastructure development, Malda Division replaced a century-old steel bridge on the Bhagalpur-Dumka line in a record time of 5 hours and 30 minutes on April 21, 2024. The monumental task involved the regirdering work of Bridge No.01, situated between Bhagalpur and Tikani stations in the Bhagalpur –Banka/Dumka section. Undertaking such a critical operation required meticulous planning and flawless execution.
To ensure the seamless execution of the regirdering work, a 5½-hour traffic and power block was strategically planned for April 21, 2024 (Sunday). Despite the complexity of the task, large cranes and machinery were used to expedite the work flawlessly.The regirdering work was completed successfully within the scheduled duration due to better planning and perfect coordination among various departments of the Malda Division at the work site.
The successful completion of this regirdering work within the scheduled duration underscores Malda Division’s commitment to rapid infrastructure development and safety enhancement.
