Malda Division is taking proactive measures to ensure the availability of drinking water for passengers across all stations within its jurisdiction. With the impending summer season and the potential for heatwaves, Malda Division is intensifying its efforts to review and enhance the supply of potable water.
In a commendable initiative, Today on April 15, 2024, Malda Division collaborated with Sanjeevani Ganga Sanstha NGO to distribute free drinking water at Pirpainti Railway Station, catering to the needs of thousands of passengers of general coaches.The NGO team distributed cold water among passengers in general coaches, with the presence and support of Railway Officials.
This novel initiative brought relief to rail passengers amidst hot and sultry conditions, underscoring the Malda Division's commitment to passenger welfare.
Similar initiative will be conducted at other stations under the jurisdiction of Malda Division.
