Indian Railways is working on a mission mode to eliminate the Level Crossing gates across the country. The move aims at improving the safety and punctuality in train operations. In this context, Malda Division has been putting efforts for smooth operations of rail traffic.
Yesterday on 17.02.24 Limited Height Subway (LHS) box insertion, in lieu of LC 30 at 44/6 km (Barahat - Mandarhill) and LC 7 at km 10/8 (Bhagalpur-Tikani) in between Bhagalpur-Mandarhill section were successfully completed.
To execute the construction of LHS at LC Nos 30 & 7 simultaneously between Bhagalpur – Mandarhill, 05 hours blocks were planned. This complex procedure was done within 15 min before at LC 30 and on scheduled time at LC-7 with the utilization of large cranes and road scrapers.
The project was executed seamlessly due to meticulous planning and flawless coordination among various departments at the work site.
The successful completion of this project not only signifies a leap forward in the mission to eliminate Level Crossing gates but also highlights the commitment of Indian Railways to ensure the safety and efficiency of rail traffic.
Similar endeavors are planned in future for the coming month as part of the ongoing efforts to abolish LC gates.
