GENERAL MANAGER/ EASTERN RAILWAY INSPECTED AT JAMALPUR – BHAGALPUR – SAHIBGANJ SECTION OF MALDA DIVISION*

Shri Milind K. Deouskar, General Manager/Eastern Railway conducted a thorough inspection over Kiul – Jamalpur – Bhagalpur – Sahibganj – Barharwa section of Eastern Railway’s Malda division today (02.08.2024) to check condition of safety aspects and position of passenger amenities over the section for working out a plan towards further development of amenities and facilities and safety augmentation.
The inspection started at early morning with the window trailing inspection between Kiul and Jamalpur. On arrival at Abhaipur, General Manager conducted a thorough inspection at the station and interacted with the representatives of Passenger Association to get feedback about their requirement towards augmentation of passenger amenities.
Afterwards, General Manager conducted inspection at Jamalpur station and took a comprehensive accountal of safety installations and passenger amenities. General Manager also inspected the progress of Amrit Bharat station work at Jamalpur and interacted with trackmen and other field staff. While inspecting at Jamalpur, Shri Deouskar, General Manager met with Shri Pranav Kumar, Hon’ble MLA of Munger and also various representatives of Passenger Association and listened to their demands very minutely and arranged to redress their problems and demands. General Manager has also briefed Shri Pranav Kumar, Hon’ble MLA about the planning details of Amrit Bharat station. Hon’ble MLA was very pleased with the planning of construction work for Amrit Bharat station which is under progress at Jamalpur.
Shri Deouskar, General Manager also commissioned Deficiency Restriction and Rectification Monitoring System (DRRMS) at Jamalpur as a comprehensive measure to upgrade Railway Services.
During visit at Bhagalpur, General Manager/Eastern Railway inspected passenger amenities, OSOP (One Station One Product) stalls, running room, coaching facilities, Bhagalpur Bypass line and ongoing yard remodelling work at Bhagalpur. General Manager also interacted with the public representatives of various passenger associations. Shri Deouskar, General Manager also briefed press and media at Bhagalpur regarding ongoing development works in Jamalpur – Bhagalpur section.
Principal Officers from Eastern Railway Headquarters, DRM/Malda and branch officers of Malda Division accompanied the General Manager during the inspection.
