Successful Completion of Limited Height Subway Box Insertion by Malda Division in Jamalpur-Kiul section

Indian Railways is working on a mission mode to eliminate the Level Crossing gates across the country. The move aims at improving the safety and punctuality in train operations. In this context, Malda Division has been putting efforts for smooth operations of rail traffic.
Today on 02.06.24 Limited Height Subway (LHS) box insertion, in lieu of LC-20, in between Jamalpur-Kiul section was successfully completed.Local residents and commuters using this LHS will experience increased convenience and reduced travel time, contributing to an improved quality of life. The LHS also significantly reduce the risk associated with Level crossing providing a safer passage for both pedestrians and vehicles.
To execute the construction of LHS at LC No 20, a total of 06 hours traffic and power block was planned.This complex procedure required the utilization of large cranes and road scrapers to expedite the process. The project was executed seamlessly due to meticulous planning and flawless coordination among various departments of the Malda Division at the work site.
Similar endeavors are planned for the coming month as part of the ongoing efforts to abolish LC gates.
